This research aims to determine the application of fines for late payment of KUR financing at Bank Syariah Indonesia, KCP Jepara Pemuda 1. BSI KCP Jepara Pemuda 1 applies fine payments for customers who are late in making installments with the aim of disciplining customers so that they are punctual in making installment payments. This research uses a qualitative-descriptive research type. The results of the data analysis are narrated regarding the application of late payment fines for KUR financing at BSI KCP Jepara Pemuda 1. The results of the research found that, firstly, BSI KCP Jepara Pemuda 1 applied late payment fines with a calculation of 0.00069 monthly installments times the number of days late. BSI KCP Jepara Pemuda 1 provides installment payment tolerance for H+5 after the due date. Second, the amount of fines charged to customers is calculated automatically through the system. The fines applied at BSI KCP Jepara Pemuda 1 are not categorized as usury as per DSN MUI fatwa no. 17/DSN-MUI/IX/2000 concerning sanctions for wealthy customers who delay payments. It is explained that Sharia Financial Institutions (LKS) can impose fines on customers who deliberately delay payment of obligations. BSI KCP Jepara Pemuda 1.
